Greg,
As you know, for the last 23 years DCD has repeatedly violated requirements of Section 17.45.020 of the MERU Ordinance and has knowingly, and repeatedly, published demonstrably false
information. Why?
Apparently, you believe new tents for the County’s homeless population is a bigger priority than providing your Port Ludlow constituents with current and accurate information regarding
the status of our sewer and water capacity (as required by the MERU Ordinance). No more excuses, do your job and require DCD to promptly comply with the MERU Ordinance.

Brent --- any progress --- what is DCD's time line for correctly implementing the MERU Ordinance? --- Bert

Dear Bert,
The county has not budged funds for this project. The County will first find out what contractors/proposers identify as the price that it would cost to complete it. Upon receiving that
information, DCD will approach the BoCC to determine next steps. It is different from the code in many ways. Perhaps most significantly, it is a recognition of limited resources and
the need to outsource some of the department’s responsibilities.
As always, I maintain office hours for community members to discuss projects or issues of concern. Please feel free to reach out to schedule a time.
Sincerely yours,
Brent
