To be eligible for consideration, your application must be signed, dated, and include the following items in the listed order. This 1/3-page ad will be part of a full -page advertisement being coordinated by the VCB. XYZ Magazine will match the value of the advertisement with a feature article on Jefferson County and the event in the same edition. Section 2 - Proposal Questions 1. We propose purchasing and installing two promotional banners on the light posts in the village Center area of Port Ludlow as a means of publicizing the amenities and tourist attractions available in the Master Planned Resort, such as hotel, marina, restaurants, hiking trails, performing arts, fishing, art fairs. As tourists travel to and from the Olympic Peninsula, they will be attracted to make Port Ludlow a destination for a stay to experience what it has to offer. Since Port Ludlow is a heavily treed community, tourists going through would not necessarily be aware of available amenities. These banners will supplement several currently existing banners. 2_ This is a continuing promotion, and the banners will be permanently attached to existing light poles which are owned by Jefferson County Public Works, who have agreed to this installation. The banners will be owned by the Port Ludlow Village Council, a non-profit organization 501(c) (3). 3. The target audience are travelers and tourists coming onto the Olympic Peninsula. Port Ludlow is one of the gateways to Jefferson County's popular tourist destinations, such as Port Townsend. By highlighting a boutique hotel, marina, amenities, events, and activities in the community, tourists will be attracted to stay or return another time to experience the features highlighted above. 4. The Inn and Marina will ask how people heard about Port Ludlow and identify lodging tax proceeds from lodging stays to quantify tourist visits. Restaurants will be asked to similarly collect this information. 5. By attracting tourists to Port Ludlow, they will create additional economic impact for Jefferson County restaurants, hotels, events, and businesses. 6. The purpose of the Port Ludlow Village Council states that it is formed to promote the general interests of the Port Ludlow community and work toward building consensus among the residents, merchants, property owners, and others.
