Senators Van De Wege & Muzzall, Representatives Tharinger, Chapman, Paul, & Gilday, Jefferson County Commissioners Dean, Brotherton, & Eisenhour, Island County Commissioners Bacon, Johnson,
& St. Clair, Mayors Faber & Hughes, and Port Townsend & Coupeville Councilors,
Good afternoon.
The Salish, currently assigned to the Port Townsend/Coupeville route, has a mechanical issue requiring it to be removed service, suspending operations on the route. While vessel crew
and Eagle Harbor Maintenance Facility staff begin looking at repairs, we are discussing service options should the boat be out for longer than 24 hours. We are notifying the public
through social media and passenger alerts. I will update you when we know more.
Best,
John
