Hello Commissioners,
A group I work with is in touch with Csenka Favorini-Csorba, the DNR appointee for the carbon project. She sent us the acreage per timber stand per county that are being considered for
phase 2. I thought I'd share that with you. Originally, they said that the forests chosen for carbon offsets would have to be a larger acreage than what they have listed here. So I'm
curious about that.
The good news is that there are quite a few Jefferson County forests! We are currently analyzing which forests chosen for carbon offsets are Legacy Forests. I'll let you know as soon
as we have it figured out.
