Greetings Coastal Caucus members,
I wanted to bring your attention to two sessions that will occur at the County Leaders conference on November 15 and 16.
Nov. 15
9:45am – 10:45am
Toward a Resilient Puget Sound – A New Plan and New Funding. Puget Sound Partnership staff will review the salmon recovery strategies most relevant to counties identified in the 2022-2026
Action Agenda. They will also outline upcoming funding opportunities and the role Local Integrating Organizations play in counties.
Nov 16 (virtual option available)
10 am -12 pm
The Coastal Caucus will convene to hear from the Bonneville Environmental Foundation about upcoming opportunities in the Floodplains by Design program. This is a statewide program relevant
to all 39 counties. At 11 am, the Caucus will meet jointly with the County Planners to discuss Net Ecological Gain policy development with a tribal member and staff from DFW and Washington
Environmental Council. Agenda is attached.
