Is Floodplains a grant program that has a list prior to the legislative session? If so, I can't find the list. I was curious if we are aware there are Floodplains proposals on the
Peninsula that are not funded at the $70M level.

Thanks for sharing Kara. I would vote yes to signing the letter. And I think FbD should be a program we include in a list of funding priorities in our legislative agenda.
That’s my vote!

Hello again Legislative Task Force - also wanted to pass this along. Two questions: 1) Is this a letter we would want to sign as the Strait ERN and 2) Should we include something about
this in our legislative priorities document?
We can chat more in our upcoming meetings, and also please reach out to me with your individual thoughts if you prefer.

Dear Floodplains by Design Network,
It’s that time again: time to urge Governor Inslee and the Legislature to support the Department of Ecology’s $70 million capital budget request for Floodplains by Design. Last biennium,
Floodplains by Design received $50.9M to support integrated river management projects that are reducing flood risk to homes, farms and businesses, restoring fish habitat, and enhancing
recreation opportunities. This is thanks in large part to a groundswell of supporters like you!
These may be challenging times, but we know that Floodplains by Design brings crucial benefits to the resilience of our river systems, our economy and our communities. To once again
demonstrate the breadth of support for Floodplains by Design, we are asking elected officials, Tribes, local governments, conservation organizations, salmon recovery groups, flood control
districts, agricultural associations and others to sign on to this letter <https://docs.google.com/document/d/12tcr5NExkrwaqtSFZcDtRw7LO3cHjN0G/edit> in support of this biennium’s
$70 million capital budget request.
We have extended the sign-on deadline to COB this Thursday, November 10. We will send the letter to Governor Inslee on Nov. 11, before he completes his budget. We will also send identical
letters to capital budget writers in both Legislative chambers once session is underway in January.
Please visit the sign-on form here to add your name and the name of the group or government you represent by November 10th <https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeIHlF9CdpiErA9Afi6wzHro0t2rlU8Gu
UrFquPR0D4DfsE7A/viewform> .
Once you’ve signed on, please forward this to others you know who support Floodplains by Design! If you have any questions or trouble with the form, contact awarren@b-e-f.org <mailto:awarren@b-e-f.o
rg> .
Thank you for all you do.
Bob
