It has been a couple of years since Shine Road had to be narrowed in two locations down to single lane alternating traffic only. This is due to the ongoing unresolved shoreline erosion
condition. Contributing factors specific to surface and stream water from new construction sites crossing Shine Rd. is also an ongoing issue.
Opposing traffic traps walkers and pets between those two washout areas until there is an opportunity to escape from the 20 foot fall to the beach.
Google sends Hwy 104 east bound down Shine Rd as an alternative route combined usage by residents, delivery, school busses, and construction vehicles its past time to do something about
this. I cant believe there is nothing scheduled by the county to resolve this very real danger. The state roundabout project at the West end of the Hoods Canal Bridge on HY 104
has been known about this whole period of time and that really is going to exerbate this issue.
This is real and it will only be a matter of time before there is a very bad accident that could have been avoided. Please at least investigate and maybe reprioritize your expenditures.
