Uncool – only 3% of charitable giving goes to the environmental sector. Cool – Climate Riders teamed up with the Algorand Foundation this year to give over $3 million dollars!
We had major wins this year.
* Thanks to Annual Fund donors, we increased the Environmental Justice Action grants from $20,000 in 2021 to $60,000 in 2022.
* We passed an incredible milestone. By the end of 2021, we had awarded a total of 76 $10K medals to participants raising more than $10,000. In 2022, we will add over 50 people to that
list.
* Our Green Fondo in California this year was our highest-ever single fundraising event with participants raising over $1 million!
* We had our first-ever streaming event, during which scientist and streamer DRWD40 reached thousands of viewers to his Twitch stream with a message of climate action. They raised over
$6,000 to fully fund one of our Environmental Justice Action Grants.
* We hosted our first STRAVA campaign and nearly 300,000 people joined us to raise the profile of climate action in their daily lives.
