Subject: Bipartisan Infrastructure Law One Year Anniversary
Good morning,
One year ago this week, President Biden signed the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) – a once-in-a-generation investment in our nation’s infrastructure and competitiveness. To date,
the Administration has announced over $185 billion from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and nearly 7,000 specific projects, reaching over 4,000 communities across all 50 states, D.C.,
and the territories.
The Administration is already following through on its promise to deliver results by rebuilding our roads, bridges, ports, and airports, upgrading public transit and rail systems, replacing
lead pipes to provide clean water, cleaning up legacy pollution, providing affordable, high-speed internet to every family in America, delivering cheaper and cleaner energy, creating
good-paying jobs, and building a clean energy economy. With funding from the BIL, the Biden-Harris Administration has already:
* Launched 2,800 bridge repair and replacement projects across the country;
* Announced $9 billion to upgrade America’s water infrastructure;
* Awarded 20 companies in 12 states more than $2.8 billion to boost battery manufacturing;
* Enrolled more than 14.8 million households in the Affordable Connectivity Program to expand affordable, high-speed internet; and,
* Allocated funds for more than 5,000 new clean and electric buses for school and transit bus fleets across the country.
The BIL is an unprecedented opportunity to build a better America. To effectively deliver on the promise of the BIL and delivering project on time, on task, and on budget, the Biden-Harris
Administration has:
