In response to the community’s enthusiasm for Jefferson County to enact a Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy and Resiliency (C-PACER) program and support for this program documented
by the Board of County Commissioners’ (BoCC) discussion at a regular meeting earlier this year, the Department of Community Development (DCD) is hiring a C-PACER Specialist to develop
a program in the first quarter of 2023 that the BoCC may adopt within the quarter. By doing so, DCD hopes to implement the Jefferson County Comprehensive Plan’s Environmental Action
Plan which seeks among other things to “encourage businesses and homeowners to reduce building energy and water consumption” and to further the goals of the Climate Action Committee.
