Peninsula Trails Coalition is the lead nonprofit behind the 135-mile, multi-use, Olympic Discovery Trail (ODT), that crosses the north Olympic Peninsula, and the 25-mile, single-track,
Olympic Adventure Trail, located on the ridge above the north side of Lake Crescent.
Donations go directly to trail maintenance for both trails including to Trail Adopter groups who keep sections clear and clean. Peninsula Trails Coalition also advocates for the work
of more than a dozen government entities which includes three Tribes as they continue to develop and build the trail so that the ODT is safe for all users - of any age or ability!
About 90-miles of the ODT are now complete, with with additional road sections, and public transit options, where there are trail route gaps.
The Olympic Discovery Trail's rail-trail sections are in the Port Townsend, Sequim, and Port Angeles areas, and also in the Olympic National Park which includes the stunning Spruce Railroad
Trail section along the north shore of Lake Crescent. The Spruce Railroad Trail is about 10-miles in length and is designed to ADA standards. It features two tunnels! The trail route
continues west to the Pacific Ocean at La Push.
For trail maps, to volunteer, or to become a Trail Adopter, see our link below!
With your donation (either here or on our website), the trail work will continue to close the gaps between Port Townsend to the Pacific Ocean at La Push. Additionally, a new connection
between the ODT and the Hood Canal Bridge, which is an important part of Rails-to-Trails Conservancy's 3,700-mile Great American Rail-Trail, will one day be a reality as well. See you
on the trail!
