Come May it will be 3 years since the County had a public meeting with the land owners in the area to be get the sewer. I think it is time to hold another meeting. Regards, Craig Durgan -------- Forwarded Message -------- Subject: future Habitat build in Port Hadlock Date: Wed, 23 Nov 2022 00:06:47 +0000 From: Genevieve Peterson <genevieve@habitatejc.org> <mailto:genevieve@habitatejc.org> To: durgan@olympus.net <mailto:durgan@olympus.net> <durgan@olympus.net> <mailto:durgan@olympus.net> Hello Craig, My name is Genevieve and I work with Habitat for Humanity of East Jefferson County. I understand that you were instrumental in bringing business leaders together in Port Hadlock to advocate for the sewer system. That sewer system will enable Habitat to build affordable housing on the old airstrip in Hadlock. We are grateful for the work you and others have done to help get the sewer in place. Habitat is meeting with various community groups to share its vision for a future affordable housing development on the old airstrip and to hear what people are thinking: what the needs, wants, hopes and/or concerns are about developing property in that location. Would you and the business leaders you rallied around the sewer be interested in meeting with Habitat to share your thoughts around development on that 17-acre parcel? It would be an opportunity for Habitat to share some information and to have a conversation to understand what the business community feels is important as far as this development goes.
