Because of previous action takers, the Maritime Administration (MARAD) and US Coast Guard are forced to do an additional review and public hearing about the destruction of the proposed
Gulflink oil terminal called a "supplemental environmental impact statement" (SEIS).
We have to cancel it once and for all.
Submit a comment to the Maritime Administration (MARAD), a sub-agency of Pete Buttigieg's Department of Transportation, and to the US Coast Guard to urge them to DENY crucial permits
for GULFLINK by 11/30! <http://click.emails.sierraclub.org/?qs=351232831e0fd272a59f4581bbcc4f7ccad5aef17222b39804aed236677022681ae867092f8df9a3b1c435736863938ece43e110b99a96808d00fbc4d3dfb2dd>

Dear John,
GulfLink would be a terrible nightmare for the people, ecosystems, and climate of the Gulf Coast. This project, which is backed by Sentinel Midstream and financier Freepoint Commodities,
would load up to 2 million barrels of crude oil per day onto Very Large Crude Carriers, one of the largest ships on earth, to export oil to foreign markets. In context, the deck size
is almost the same as the size of 3 football fields!
Increased crude oil infrastructure for exports spells disaster for our climate, and worsens reliance on fossil fuels that we don't need! <http://click.emails.sierraclub.org/?qs=351232831e0fd2724832b2
c701d4efb40bcb2fc75c0bae96f173d4cc118f08c1b2a3a1a283b5c9ab3c548411720a09b0eed542a21383e11472f8fdd805a4fce3> Overseas markets are the ones driving the export of oil from the Permian
Basin. The Permian Basin, which is in west Texas and southeast New Mexico, is now the biggest carbon bomb on Earth.
Additionally, the GulfLink terminal and the pipelines that go to it are very dangerous for Texas's waterways, shoreline, and Gulf waters. An oil spill from the 42 miles of onshore and
offshore pipelines could ruin drinking water, harm wildlife, and hurt important industries like tourism and fishing.
The notorious and devastating BP Deepwater Horizon Disaster was 10 years ago and the Gulf Coast ecosystem is still recovering. Our marine ecosystems and coastal communities can't afford
another disaster and shouldn't be put at risk for crude oil exports.
The Maritime Administration (MARAD) and US Coast Guard (USCG) have the authority to deny Gulflink's permits. If enough of us make our voices heard, we can pressure these federal agencies
to do their job, protect our coast and our climate, and stop Gulflink! Act now and submit your comments by 11/30! <http://click.emails.sierraclub.org/?qs=351232831e0fd272adc8a635ee8c3eb11e50da2e96e7
