Do not open attachments or click on links if you are not expecting them. ________________________________ Dear Commissioners, Good morning, and thank you for your service to our county. I’m writing to appeal to you all to be steadfast in your commitment to protect in perpetuity the remnant of old growth forest known as Quimper Lost Wilderness, and the surrounding buffer that enables this forest to continue to thrive and give to our community. The forests in close proximity to Discovery Bay form part of a uniquely important wildlife corridor, one that is in fact flourishing more than it has in recent decades, thanks to diligent moderation, protection, and restoration of precious ecosystems. I believe that you understand, the small, irreplaceable stands of old growth support the life of everyone in the region in ways that money could never replace, if the forest were treated as a mere resource for wood. Once a forest is cut, it cannot be put back. It is a living whole, and we need it more than we can know. Wishing you success in continuing to protect this precious part or our county’s overall health and future. With gratitude from my home overlooking Discovery Bay, Tracy Hudson
