Dear Heidi, Kate, and Greg —
My wife, Lyn Gregory, and I are the parents of Elias Biel, who is in 3rd grade at Sunfield Farm & School. Since the beginning of the school year, his “classroom” has been an outdoor
greenhouse.
Meanwhile, Sunfield is refurbishing a module classroom for he and his classmates to move into. There’s a crew building ramps and decking, plumbers and electricians doing their jobs,
etc.
Progress, however, has been slowed by Jefferson County. I don’t know all the details, but I DO know Elias asked me this morning, “Dad, when’s the modular going to be done? Cause I’m
tired of being cold.” (And he’s dressed like Amundsen for the South Pole.)
Everyone’s got a “important” project, but this one intuitively seems more important. We all know the County staff is working hard and has the best of intentions. But we need action and
we need it now. Please help to improve the learning environment for these kids by getting this project to the end zone.
