Hello, I was at the zoom meeting on Wednesday. Thank you for the meeting. However I was a little confused as the meeting seemed to focus more on the Carbon Program, which may not be
an option. I heard a lot of concern from the Timber industry and from the programs that are being funded from harvested forests, but not a lot about the Old growth forest of Quimper
Lost Wilderness. It is my understanding that this forest is not just any forest, but an old growth forest- putting it in a class by itself. I understand that some of the trees are over
200 years old at least. This means that they should be precious to our community and deserving of protection- just not a commodity to be only valued for the dollars that they would
bring in. To me that misses the point entirely. Please please consider that Quimper lost wilderness parcel should be saved for posterity. Thank you !
Warm regards
