Do not open attachments or click on links if you are not expecting them. ________________________________ Naturally with the development of traffic circles on State route 104 the local population expects temporary neighborhood traffic disruption. Construction delays and bridge opening and closures are sure to aggravate already poor traffic flow. Traffic back ups will assuredly extend several miles and block both access points on to Shine road. Emergency and daily egress will be challenging. Those who wish to “cut through the neighborhood” and avoid back up delays need to be prevented from doing so. Shine road is a non standard width road in many places, with considerable walking traffic. In addition there are two areas where shoreline erosion has compromised the roads structural integrity. Safety is of course paramount and resources do need to be allocated to address the obvious. Please consider the following: 1. Signs stating “local access only”. “Residential traffic only” 2. Speed bumps to deter the route as an option 3. Informing the gps/navigation data bases of local traffic only 4. Physically blocking the west end access to Shine road. Finally, there are no public turn arounds anywhere on Shine road. Those who make a turn onto Shine and need to reverse course can only accomplish this by entering private driveways. This is an even greater challenge for large, long, heavy vehicles which may even exceed the structural limits of the road itself. Surely there are acceptable methods to prevent the disruption and destruction of the neighborhood during and after the construction period. Please make the necessary budget inclusion to address the community concerns. Respectfully. James Page 51 Merredith St Shine gra la neighborhood Sent from my iPhone
