NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Jefferson County has received an application for a shoreline primary use permit in compliance with the Jefferson County Shoreline Master Program. Application Received Date: August 4, 2000 Application Complete Date: August 15, 2000 Application Notice Date: August 23, 2000 PROPOSAL: Expand the Port Ludlow Marina by adding 100 new slips for 36 to 60 foot vessels, adjacent sidetie areas for vessels over 60 feet in length, and amenities such as dinghy floats and an expanded kayak float. The proposed expansion occurs to the west and south of the existing Marina, connected to the C, D, and E dock system. The proposed layout includes extension of the D and E lateral systems and a new F lateral system, with no changes to the A/B dock system. The design includes provisions to minimize environmental impacts as detailed in a submitted Biological Evaluation. This proposal is subject to environmental review and threshold determination under the State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA). PROJECT LOCATION: Section 16, Township 28 North, Range 1 East, WM, Port Ludlow Marina at 1 Gull Drive, Port Ludlow, WA 98365. All interested persons are invited to (a) comment on the application; (b) receive notice of hearings; and (c) receive a copy of the decision by submitting such written comment(s)/request(s) to the Jefferson County Department of Community Development, Development Review Division, 621 Sheridan Street, Port Townsend, WA 98368, (360) 379-4450. Comments concerning this application should be submitted to the Department of Community Development by 4:30 p.m. on September 22, 2000. Comments submitted after this date may not be considered in the staff report. Information on the proposal is available at the Jefferson County Department of Community Development. If the last day of the comment period falls on a weekend or holiday, then the comment period shall be extended to the first working day after the weekend or holiday. Appeals must be filed within fourteen (14) days following a decision. Only parties of record have standing to appeal.
