Effective January 1, 1998 all docks etc., both public and private, will be required to have
an inspection by Washington State Department of Labor and Industries (L&I) prior to a
final inspection by Jefferson County Building Department. A copy of an approved Labor
and Industries Inspection Report shall be provided to the Building Department before this
inspection takes place. Please see attached memo dated 12/16/97 from Labor and
Industries as to types of facilities and structural safety regulations and requirements.
