This marina was originally built in the 1960's, and expanded in the late 1970's. The marina serves guests, boating groups, Port Ludlow area residents, and visitors to the Port Ludlow Resort and Heron Beach Inn. Alternatives: . No ActionlMaintenance and Rehabilitation Only The No Action alternative would result in maintenance and rehabilitation of the existing marina facilities, but no expansion of slips or upgrade of amenities such as the dingy float or kayak float, at this time. The fuel float would be replaced in-kind. . Alternative 1-100 Slip Expansion (Proposed Project) The proposed project includes the addition of 100 new slips for 36 to 60 foot vessels, adjacent sidetie areas for vessels over 60 feet in length, upgrading of the electrical system and lighting, replacement of the kayak float, reducing the size of the dinghy float, and replacing the existing fuel dock (in place). The new slips would be connected to the D and E dock systems as well as a new lateral F dock system. No changes would be made to the A and B dock systems. No dredging would be required. . Alternative 2 - 100 Slip Expansion with Alternate Design Alternative 2 would include a 100 slip expansion and improvements similar to the Proposed Project, but would be designed as proposed in the 1993 "Port Ludlow Development Program Final Environmental Impact Statement". The 100 new slips would be accommodated by: a new dock and slips along the eastern shore of the marina (east of the fuel float); an extension of A dock approximately 150 feet waterward to accommodate a new T-shaped dock; a new "L" shaped dock approximately 150 feet waterward of E dock; and extension of C, D, and E docks to the west. Dredging would occur in a slightly less than one acre area near the eastern shore of the marina in order to increase water depths and improve access to the new inner docks.
