Hello Mark, Nicole, and Lyn:
Please take note of Anne Shaffer's comments below regarding the revised
Port Ludlow Marina expansion proposal. It would behoove you to gather
the information described by Ms. Shaffer in advance of the scoping
meeting next week. Jefferson County does not anticipate the need to
re-schedule the scoping meeting at this time, assuming that the
additional information is provided in a timely manner sufficient to
allow adequate opportunity for commentary by WDFW, other agencies with
jurisdiction, and the public concerning the scope of the DEIS. (The
scoping comment period ends November 2.)
We are also assuming that the process by which the DEIS is reviewed and
the FEIS developed will provide ample and sufficient opportunity for all
questions presented to be addressed to the satisfaction of those asking.
Because you have altered the proposal from the original, it is essential
that the modifications (and the area affected and potential impacts) be
described fully in reference to the original proposal.
Thank you for your cooperation.
Regards,
Josh

Subject: Port Ludlow expansion SEPA comments
Hello Josh,
I will not be able to attend the 12 October scoping meeting (I don't
work Friday'S) but wanted to provide comments on this project, which is
revised from the original plans submitted to the WDFW, CoE, and County
over a year ago, ASAP. Unfortunately I do not have adequate information
to provide comments on the revised plan. On review of the description I
would offer that the project is being significantly changed, and
appropriate information is not available to do an accurate SEPA
analysis. The SEPA review process should therefore be revised to reflect
the change in proposed development. Specifically the applicant needs to
provide detailed plans showing exact locations (including tidal
elevations) of revisions, and how they compare to both existing facility
and the originally proposed expansion. This should include an structural
detail on new coverage, a complete analysis of total overwater area, theLOG 'TE~
