Port Ludlow Marina Expansion
Good morning, Al. We are preparing to write a letter to Josh Peters
with
regard to the scoping process for the marina SEIS. I wish to confirm
for
him Jon Rose's previous correspondece with regard to the marina permit
and
our conversation on November 7th with regard to processing of the
permit.
We have identified in the zoning code that a resort plan will not be
peicmealed and so the intention is to get one permit for the resort
expansion. We have also agreed that the marina application will take
longer
than the "resort" application and that the marina is just one component
of
an ulitmate resort plan. Recognizing the relatively more complex
aspects of
the marina portion of the permit we have agreed to process the marina
expansion in advance of the resort permit and that the enviromental
elements
of a SEIS for the marina portion of the project can proceed
independently,
Ultimately, however, the marina SEIS will become a subset of the resort
SEIS. It is also our understanding that, while the marina application
is
being processed and may be approved, no actual building permit to allow
construction will be issued until the resort plan and overall SEIS is
approved.
Please confirm my understanding so we can articulate the process in our
letter. Thanks in advance for your consideration,
