I don't think we can rely on a newspaper article as representative of
the facts on the marina issue. The private club issue at the marina is
related to a clubhouse facility to be built. Members of the Club will
get use of the new clubhouse and also will get preferred pricing on
slips. There is a strict limitation on the number of memberships that
will be available at 200. The remaining 100 slips are available to
non-members and guest docks. There is no plan to eliminate guest
moorage.

Greetings PLA & representatives:
FYI. Please provide a response to Mr. Colby and copy Jefferson County
DCD. Is any information in the permit application or the DSEIS no
longer accurate? Thank you.
Regards,
Josh

Josh - below is an excerpt from the "Leader" - it appears that the
1
new
e

ownership intends to exclude all of the public from using the
marina?
This seems to be contrary to the public statements they published
in
they
the Draft SEIS. I thought part of their commitment was to continue
with the their guest moorage?
If they have changed their minds on transient moorage, I believe
should re-address this in their permit process as well as
reevaluate
the total number of slips needed. It would seem if they are
eliminating the 25 - 30 guest slips they will/would not need to add
100.
I would appreciate your comment.
Thanks.

Padden confirmed that the company plans to build the improvements
"regardless" of how many memberships it sells or how quickly they
sell. And while he declined to give specific numbers, he said the
company is "extremely pleased" with sales so far. Eventually, he
added, the plan is for the club to be completely private, allowing
only members and their guests to play golf or use the marina."
