I think you are "right on" with your response. Get everything in writing. I should have included you on the cc list on this one, so that you're in the loop regarding the overall resort expansion connection. I assume you'll be in on the fun when it comes to the resort expansion EIS. Let me know if you have any insight on the issues presented below. It's also the day when agenda items for the next week's SOCC meeting are due by 5:00 PM. So going out to Port Ludlow, while possible, is not preferable. Let's take a step back and discuss what we expect to happen in this meeting. Who will be there? Is the main purpose for you to provide your take on the scoping meeting and the letters from citizens and previous communication from agencies? My understanding is that it is now our responsibility to produce a scoping document which outlines the content of the EIS. If you have input, could you not simply put it in writing and send it to us? The input could even be in the form of a draft scoping document. Clearly you believe a meeting is warranted, so perhaps you could share with us what you hope and expect. Thank you. On another note, have you discussed with the applicant the "one EIS" strategy for all aspects of the resort expansion? In speaking with AI, he has given me the impression that Mr. McCarry and Mr. Dorsey are now intent on and content with pursuing this strategy, which is unequivocally more in harmony with the Port Ludlow MPR Ordinance. Will Reid- Middleton be contracted for the resort expansion EIS, which includes the marina expansion as a component? Please give me a call if you'd like to discuss these issues on the phone.
