RE: Marina FEIS
Greetings Lyn, et al:
The newspaper of record for Jefferson County is now the Peninsula Daily
News. The Commissioners made this change in the first part of the year.
Cathi Pence of the PDN coordinates publication. They require three days
advance notice. Usually, we take care of this task and would be glad to
do so in this case, also. However, I don't see a problem with you
communicating with the PDN directly and making the arrangements. (Then
we don't have to bill the applicant.) It may be easier in terms of
having a definite publish date established so that you can properly date
the document. Cathi's email iscathi.pence@peninsuladailynews.com. Her
phone is (360) 417-3556.
The notice is only published one time.
We would prefer to have the documents in hand on the day the notice is
published, in case readers of the notice come by on that same day.
Having the PDF posted on our web will help, but if the notice in the
paper says that we have the document available at the Department, then
weld prefer having the document available at the Department that same
day. So, please plan for a lag time between when you send the document
to us and when the notice is published.
If you have any questions, let me know. rm in the office most of
today.
Regards,
Josh

Here is where we are:
We will publish the notice (as revised) in the Port Townsed Leader (?)
on December 30, with the date of availability as the 31st. We only
publish once, correct?
We will mail all copies of the FSEIS from here on the 30th. The
"Notices of Availability" will also be mailed on the 30th.
