Post Office Box 929

Dear Mr. Parker:
Subject:
Jefferson County Public Utility District #1, Owner ill #008807, Jefferson County; Water System
Plan, ODW Project #04-0130
Enclosed are copies offour letters/e-mails that the Office of Drinking Water (ODW) received from concerned
citizens regarding the State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA) and the Determination of Non-Significance (DNS)
associated with the Jefferson County Public Utility District #1 (PUD) Water System Plan (WSP). Susan Porto, from
Jefferson County Health Department, has stated that she has also received letters from concerned citizens regarding
the SEP A and DNS.
The SEPA determination will need to be incorporated into the approval of the PUD's WSP. It would be helpful ifI
could include documentation of the PUD's SEPA processes. Please provide ODW with documentation on the
process followed as the lead agency for the SEP A determination.
If you have any questions, please contact me at (360) 664-2999.
