Hi Jim,
The Peninsula Daily News incorrectly reported on the project. See below. The Leader didn't contact me
regarding this project, so I'm not sure where they received their information. I didn't see it mentioned in the
Leader.
The application will be noticed in the Wednesday, June 8, 2005 edition of the Leader. A fourteen day
comment period will end at 4:30 pm June 22, 2005. I won't schedule the hearing until I've completed my
review and done the staff report. At that time, I will publish a Notice of Public Hearing at least two weeks
prior to the hearing date.
Your application mentioned you were going to go before the BoCC. Did you?

Dear Jeff,
I spoke with Nick Kiveshnikov yesterday regarding the Marrowstone water system application.
The statement, "A Jefferson County hearing examiner is considering the district's application, having
a June 1 deadline to respond with approval or request additional information." is completely wrong.
I stated the application was submitted May 4th, and I have 28 days to deem the application complete
or request additional information. June 1st is not a deadline to issue approval, and I am not a
hearing examiner.
Please print a correction as I'm sure to receive a lot of inquiries from Marrowstone Island residents
regarding this misinformation.
