This letter is to comment on the above-referenced application. I am a property owner on
Marrowstone Island residing at 1363 Griffith Point Road, Marrowstone Island. I would like to
go on record to confirm my support of the proposed installation by the PUD of a public drinking
water supply system to Marrowstone.
Although we are not personally experiencing problems with our well, I am aware that numerous
surrounding property owners are experiencing significant shortages and water quality issues.
Some have been forced to procure water from alternate sources, at significant expense and
inconvenience. Given the increasing population of the island, it is apparent that this is a situation
which will continue to get worse, not better. Thus, I would request that the Development
Review Division consider the critical nature of this project and the need to act promptly to
prevent a serious and significant threat to the public health of Marrowstone residents.
