Dear Jefferson County Department of Community Development:
RE: LUD #14 Marrowstone Public Water System Land Use Permit
As residents of Marrows tone Island, we are concerned about salt water intrusion, water
quality, and related health/safety issues. One solution would be the speedy resolution of
any issues delaying the installation of a Public Water System and prompt installation of
the System.
We see the issue as one of health and safety for all residents of Marrowstone Island rather
than the side issues which are either speculation or diversions to halt or slow down
system installation.
This is a MINOR UTILITY which will not negatively impact salmon or wetlands. No
SEP A review is required. There are already building and size restrictions on properties to
control population growth, if that were an issue.
There is a need for a Public Water System and it is needed sooner rather than later.
Thank you for your help in providing this Public Water System.
