Dear Mr. Johnson:
I understand the PUD has again filed an application to extend public water to
Marrowstone Island. It is now the end of 2005 and I truly thought I would have public
water to my home by now. I need water.
My only supply is a catchment system and gallon jugs of water that I bring home from
Port Hadlock. My husband, Wilson (Willie) Rutter, passed away in 2005 and I now rely
on my neighbor to maintain the catchment system. I have a well but it is unusable
because the water is very salty. This summer my neighbor also hauled from the PUD
office when the catchment system ran dry. lam a senior citizen and cannot do these
things for myself. I have lived on Marrowstone Island since 1984 and in the Port Hadlock
area many years before that.
Please approye the permit and help us to get safe, clean water.
