Comment for Marrowstone project.
It is my understanding that the recently approved Jefferson County development regulations specifically say that
Marrowstone Island cannot have a golf course unless there is a public water supply. I also understand that there
is a request for a commercial license for a golf course and that request will be processed as soon as a public
water supply is available. I request evaluation of the impact of using the water from an out of basin water
supply (the Chimacum Valley water shed) to water an 18 hole golf course (9 hole and reverse) on Marrowstone
Island. There may impact on drinking water quantity and quality for the Chimacum and Marrowstone areas.
There is possible impact on creek levels for fish, and potential impact on roads to seNe traffic to a commercial
golf course. There may also be impact on wetlands in the Chimacum valley.
