She knew nothing about this requirement and she is the permit writer oking the shoreline permit. I thought the Friday meeting would be a good opportunity to go over all the issues on Beckett point, instead of always piece mealing everything. In your memo you talk about we, is we the health department, or does DOH have to approve? Also what sort of mitigation, who do I need to work with to go over these issues to get some resolution. There is a meeting on Friday, which I thought was going to be the meeting to work all the details out necessary to go to the shoreline hearing, that would seem to be a very good time to go over this issue. I know it is not your fault, but this project is getting more and more frustrating. Please provide Zoe and I immediate options and where to go from here procedures. I talked to engineers. He says possible to move some of them but view point lane is impossible. Besides it makes no sense to upgrade the septic system for the Becket point community then have a bunch of brand new non-compliant tanks put into the ground. Some owners will need to have there plumbing stub outs moved. If it is physically impossibly to be 50 feet (<50' road to water for example) then an application for a waiver from state standards is required and we would look at them on a case by case basis. We would only approve the waiver if there is no other way. We also would require some form of mitigation. Hope this helps "Ra.ula.L 1kwuc 3/28/2006 Page 2 of 2 .. ,.. Always working for a safer and healthier Jefferson County 360 385 9444 From: James parker [mailto:jparker@jeffpud.org] Sent: Wednesday, March 22, 2006 10:03 AM To: Randy Marx Subject: Becket Point Randy: I talked to parametrix yesterday. They asked if I could find out what your concerns were with the location of the grinder pumps, and how we can work around it. In general the pumps were to positioned where ever we could get them to fit. In most cases this would be on the street side, but in some cases it would not. I am not too sure what the concern was. If the concern is that grinder pumps should not be located on a sand bar, we need to know this - as far as I can see the whole area is a sand bar. As to the side of the house, it appears there is water on both sides, see attached picture. I am not sure if this is holding up the shoreline hearing, perhaps we should just have it as an issue for the hearing to address. Jim 3/28/2006
