W.L. Dewar, District Legal Officer, u.S. N., it was unanimously agreed by the Corru'rissioners of ,Jefferson County in regular session assembled, that all County lands on INDIAN IS1Al~D shall paSS to the Federal Government in their cOIldemnation action heretofore instituted, without further compensation other than the sum of one dollar ($1.00), Save and except, that this agreement shall not apply to the improvements built on the South four-nintjts (4/9) of lot four (4), in Section six (6), Township twenty-nine north (29N), Range 1 E., Jefferson County, VV2shington, by W.G. Fenderson, compensation for said improvements bo be paid directly to Mr. Fenderson, and, in the amount heretofore set by appraisal, or this agreement shall be null and void and of no effect in any provision whatsover. G. Fenderson of Nordland, Jefferson County, Washington, party of the second part, WI11:JESSETH: That the said party of the first part does by these presents lease and demise unto the party of the second part the following described real pro perty, to-wit: The South four-ninths of Lot four (4), in Section six (6), Tmvn- mlip twenty-nine (29), North Range 1 East, Jefferson County, Wash- ington, for the term of one year, from the 7th day of October, A. D. 1929 to the 7th day of October, 1930, at the rent of ONE DOLLAR per annum, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, AND IT IS :HEREBY AGREED, that the s aid party of the se cond part shall not let or underlet the whole or any part of the said premises without the written consent of the said party of the first part, nor assign this lease or any part thereof without said written consent, And it is hereby further agreed that the said party of the second part may erect upon the above described premlse s a dwelllng house and upon the terminatlon of this lease he may remove the said improvements. The purpose of this lease is to enable the Indian Island-Hadlock ferryman to furnish suitable service at all times.
