Attorney of .Jefferson County that inasmuch as said title had
passed prior to the date of the levy of said taxes, .Teff.'erson
County could Dot possibly collect taxes from the said I,:ihvau-
kee Land Company for said tracts an d tla t any receipt of S8.J.ne
by any officer of said county V10lld be unlawful and beyond his
powers and give rise to a good claim against said county in
behalf of sa id c ampany ,
IT 1:S }IEl~BY RESOLVED .i:U\fD ORDERED that the Audi tor of Jef-
ferson County, Washington shall draw a warrant in favor of said
Milwaukee Land Company in the amount of ~~1048.42 and that the.
Treasurer of Jeffer son County $h.a.llJ..~y pay same upon sub-
mission to him.

The Board of Jefferson County COl~lissioners met on the above named date and hour
with all members present. Arthur C. Boren, Chairman, Hugh H:l.sbet and Berti1 Kruse,
members.
Minutes of the April session were read and approved.
RESOLUTION NO "B"44. signed
WHEREAS, the perioe'!. of cold weather caused abnorman damaee to the rOads of
Jefferson County, and
WHEREAS, it is deemed necesso.ry to manui'acture suitable plant mix material
for repa~r of said roads,
WHEREAS, the estimated sost of said project is $1200.00,
BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED that the sum of ~;1200.00 be set aside from the County
Road fund for the purpose aforesaid.

A letter was received from Mr. Cross of the State Land office rel~; ti ve to a
parcel of land on the Big Quilcene HiveI', requested put up for sple by a prospective
buyer and which had been transferred to the Stete and in his lettel' Mr. Gross
stated that he thought it would be unwise to sell the s!?r.le at this time and it
wl)s thel'efore so ordered that tl.;',e purch.'.lscr be refundem the deposit he had made.

Mr. DouglaS of the J.'.ilV/aul~ee land Company appeared before tl:e Board and
requested that the Taxes which his company had p~id on Park Take land in the West
End of the County, be returned :l_n the amount of ~~1048. 42 therefore the following

WHEREAS W.J. Buhler and J.J. Lafferty, both of Pt. Tovlnsend, WaS11., have paid
taxes in the amount of Forty-five (~45.00) on the f~llowing described property:

Plr.\t in Volume 1, of Plats, Page one, records of Jef/erson Co., Wash.
