Subject: PLA Resort Plans
Jerry,
I must have deleted the Port Ludlow Bulletin that outlined PLA's plan for the Resort.
Basically the article addressed their plan to build out all platted townhouses including "high density" condo type
units built to 35 feet high. The Harbor Master restaurant will be torn down and replaced by a new one built along
the marina, where the ORM plan used for the ordinances shows four single families and where last year PLA laid
two huge cement pads for outdoor party use.
Town houses will be built where the Harbor Master now exists ( the area shown on the plan where two hotels, and
the conference/rec center were to be built ).
The Marina offices are to be expanded.
Nothing else.
I also found a July 1999 document published by ORM, signed by Gary Tucker, entitled Port Ludlow Planning
Forum, Building the Future Together. This lists all of the requests made by Port Ludlow residents, followed by
this list entitled:
"Community Partnership Programs" . "Support for zoning ordinance".
A revitalized Resort
An expanded Golf Facility
A Yacht Club Facility
An Indoor Tennis and Recreation Center
Assisted Living Facilities
Youth Activities Facilities
Additional Retail and community Services

This picture depicts the Resort Development promisetftheoommunity of Port Ludlow by
Pope Resources ( Olympic Resources Management ) agents Messrs. Greg McCarry and
Mike Derrig if and when Port Ludlow was designated a Master Planned Resort. These
presentations were made during late 1997 and early 1998. Community support inclw}eg
over 200 members attending the August 1998 Count Commissioners' meeting resulting
in Pope Resources receiving the Master Planned Resort designation on August 28, 1998
and subsequently the supporting ordinances effective October 4, 1999.
A review of the ORM plan shows:
One (only) additional town house on Ludlow Point retaining open space along the shore.
The existing lake mostly filled in creating an outdoor amphitheater and open space for
performing arts and outdoor community use
Two hotel units
A conference and Recreation center
A restaurant
An expanded marina office ( including Yacht Club space)
A marina side restaurant and retail store
F our individual homes

Reference is given to County Resort Area ordinances section 3.901 Resort Plan .
Specifics listed were based on the Resort Plan pictured herewith.
