Present: Messrs. S. Lockhart, Chairr.lan, Roy L. Hordb7{ and J. R. Cousens. Minutes of the December, 1938, Sessions, read and approved. On Motion, duly s.econded, the old Dance Hall and Hestaurant Buildings on the Fair Gl'ounds were sold to E.. A. iIinckley for the sun of ~30.00; subject to his obtaininp, Lots I /' in Phillips Bay Addition as spplied for. Letter from A. iV. Schrodt, Clearwater, in reference to dead tree along highway, was referred to the County Engineer. Letter from R. J., Ultican enclosing copy of a petition signed by the Queets Indians for secession fron! Jefferson County, vias referred to the incOlaing Board of County Com- missioners. On Motion, duly seconded, the followinG l\0so1ution '{las unanimously adopted by the Board: RESOLUTION NO. 69. VfHEflEAS, it now appears to the Board of County Comr.iissicners of Jefferson County, state of Washington, that the Budget AppropriaGion for the year 1~)38 is not sufficient to meet extraordinary and unfors6en oblic;e.tions contracted to be paid in said yce.r, and that a public emergency now exists for tbat pm'pose, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of County Commissioners of Jefferson County, State of Wa"hington, in regular Session assel~bled, thc.t there be, and hereby is arlproprie.ted for the Current Expense Fund, ~wenty-five Hundred Fifty and nO/lOO ($2,550.00) Dollars, appor- tioned as follows: County Buildings Court House Salaries Operation &, Maintenance ~; 150.00 :~800.00 800.00 1600.00 800.00 Advertising & Publications and the COl.mty Auditor of Jefferson County, i,ashinf,ton, be, and he 1s hereby authorized to issue Emergency Warrants upon said Current E:;>:pense Fun6. not exceeding the detailed a- mounts aforesaid, and BE IT FU1~HEn RESOLv~~, that said appropriation havins for its purpose the meeting of mandatory Governmental expenditures required by laVl, the said County Audj, tor be, an d he is hereby authorized to make the necessary' disbursements to meet such emerGencies without further notice or hearing.
