On motion, duly seconded, the Board adjourned to moet on Friday, January 6, 1939,
at 10 o'clock, A. M.
Friday, January 6, 1939.
The Board reconvened on the above n~~ed date at the hour of 10 o'clock, A. M.,
with all members present.
On motion, dUly seconded, the followinG Resolutions were unanimously adopted by
the Board:
Resolution No. 72
vVHEEEAS, it appears to the Board of Cot.U1.ty Comr.liss.toners for Jefferson County that
sundry areas therein need development for ai!;ricultural purposes Sl.-1'1d tffi t the OVlners there-
of C~10t privately clear und grub the sSl.-~e, ~nd, that it is in the public interest that
the County of Jefferson assist insofar thel'eln as it may legally do so,
AHD, WHEREAS, the County of Jefferson is the OViller of equipment necessary to
accooplish the foregoing objectives,
THElmFORE, BE IT RESOL\'ED, lJ'1 TIlE BOARD of County Cor.nniss:toners of Jefferson County,
Washington, that the County be authorized to enter into contracts upon form to be approve
by this Bo~'d providing for the rental of such clearing equipment as is now oVilled by
Jefferson County to such landowners thereof us may desire to hire such equipment, and
that rates thereof be fixed for the rental thereof at the price of ~';15.00 (fifteen
Dollars) per day, inCludinG salary of the operator, and that the term "day" shall be defi d
to be a period of eight hours actual ~ork1ng time.

AND WHEREAS, The Board of County Coru:!iss:toners, in session duly assembled, deem
it for the best interest of the County of Jefferson and the public generally, that the
aforesaid described real property should be dedicated for recreational, public use and
enjo;J!llent.
BE IT THEHEFOHE RESOLVED, that the aforesaid described property be, a nd it hereby
is, dedicated to the public for the uses herein above set forth for ,park and recreational
purposes, subject to all reasonable rules end regulations made by the Board of County
COl11missioners ,as by Statutes :Jrovided; an::l it is hereby furthc,r resolved that said
Board of Commissioners be, end they hereby are, authorized to na~e said recreational
parks.
