WHEBEAS, the Land ClearlDg Un1t, namely a Gaterpillar "40" Diesel
Traetor with bulldo;er attachaent, was seeu~ed from the County Highway
Department, and '
WEEREAS the originaJ. purehase price of sa1d machine was .harged
against the Federal Forest Reserve Fund, and
WHEREAS the "falue of said unit, January 1, 1939 was fixed at
$2100.00 suoh value being based on a yearly depreeiat10n unit, and
WHEREAS it was deemed necessary to make a major overhaul on such
machine prior to transferring same, and
WEEBEA$ the,eost of said overhaul was $1098.73, sueh costs being
ebarged against the Land Olearing Division, Jefferson County, sad
WHEREAS it was mutually agreed that said unit be in first class
repair when so transferred, and
WHEREAS the said SUDli. covering such repairs' has been disbur.ed
from the Curt'ent Expense Fund, Land Clearing DiT18ion, and .
WHEREAS said l"epairs were direct eosts in putting the fmaeh1~. ,1n
aood condition, and ,
WHEREAS said costs should be deducted from the agreed transfer
priee,
BElT THEREFORE RESOLVED that the sum of $1801.27 be transferred
fram the Land Clearing Division, Current Exp.~se, to the Federal Forest
Reserve' F\1nd and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Treasurer,
Jefferson Count,., be hereby instructed to melee such transfer for the
purposes aforesaid mentioned.
