WHEREAS, it now appears to the Board of County Commis.teers
of Jefferson County that at the time of the ~doption of the Offioial
budget for the Current Expense Fund of said oounty for the year 1939,
through inadvertence or otherw1se the salary of the Oht.t Depu:hy in
the office of the Oount,. Assessor was fixed at a sum less than the
salaries of ohief deputies in other ceunty offlces. arid
WHEREAS, it is the intent of the undersigned Board of Oounty
Commissioners that the salaries of all ohief deputies be _qualis.d,
and
WEEREAS.. there is unexpended in the Budget of the County Assessor
reI' olerk hire for the ye ar 1939 a sum suffic ient to equalize the
salary of the clli:6.f deputy of that of nee with the salaries of other
Gb.ief deputies,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Count., Auditor of

Jefferson County, Washington, be, end he is, authorized to draw
warrants upon t:b.e Current Expense Fund, upon the presentation of
p:II'operly approved vouohers, ohe;rgeable to the Budget of the CO\mty
A..essor in such amounts as will advance the salary Gf the Chll.t
Deputy Assessor to that of other chief deputies.
