Oounty, an action wherein .!. L. Johnson and Olive ni_beth McOraoken, are
plaintiffs, and the Countyof' Jefterson and Paul W. !hie1e, as !r.reaaurer
of 1.14 Oounty ot Jetterson, are defendants, the objeots and purposes ot
which are to secure a reduction 1n the valuation of oertain timber 1&1141 of
plaintifts and a consequent rednotion of taus in aoeordanC8 therewith, and,
wmmm.&.S, it is deemed a4Tisable to avoid t"urther controversy, and that
the taxes due and the valuation ot said Umber lan48 should be agreed upon
and tixed, and,
~HIIlRBAS, after due deliberation and oonsideration ot all the taots and
circamstanoe. in conneotion with said action, it is the opinion ot the Board
, of Oounty Oomm1 asloners of Jetferson Oounty, that it will be to the best
interest at said Oounty to compromise the ola1ma and clemands at p1a1ntitfl,
as set forth in their complaint, upon the basis hereiu:tter set forth.

That the Proseouting Attorney of Jefferson Oounty, be and he is hereby
authoriJsed and empowered to compromise and settle said aotion by stipulating
for and consenting to a judgment and decree to be entered 1n ..id cause tlz-
1ng the quautity ot timber upon the lands at plaintlf(s, as follows.

whole amount of tax found to be due.
