Dear Francis:
Thank you for your letter and comments \vith regard to the Ludlow Bay Village project.
Your expressed concern for parking is noted. The issue of parking was also brought up
by Randy Shelley at the June 3rd, PLVC meeting. There seemed to be a general
consensus among the Board members that this is an issue of common concern. As a
response, at that meeting I made a request to the PL VC to appoint a Committee to meet
with me and a professional traffic engineer so that parking issues can be addressed.
While my offer was not accepted I repeated the offer at a subsequent PL VC meeting. As
of this date no one from the PLVC or CDC has responded to my offer to work on
resolving issues.
Port Ludlow Associates is not interested in building infrastructure that does not provide
adequate parking to access the facilities. I do not believe it is prudent to build a
restaurant where patrons can't park. We are interested in seeking solutions to issues such
as these.
I am in the process of selecting 10 to 15 residents who might be interested in meeting
with me on a once a month basis to assess community concerns and work on solutions.
This group would be selected to represent golfers, boaters, residents at large and residents
at the Ludlow Bay Village project. I would like to invite you to con",ider participating
and I would also look forward to a meeting with you to discuss the idea.
If you have thoughts on this please let me know.
