As such, we are considering purchasing one of the new proposed condos. Weare experienced in living in a resort, having built a home on Kiawah Island in South Carolina. Kiawah was developed by the nation of Kuwait and sold to a Charleston, South Carolina group. The Kuwaitis built an Inn or small hotel such as Port Ludlow has. They added four 18 Hole golf courses and hosted the Ryder Cup. The Inn was too small for the sale and rentals that followed, so they built more condos and sold them to families who put many of the condos into the rental program. All of this meant revenue for the County and the developer. They worked together as a team. While condos at resorts are not a new way of living, they are a proven way to add value to the residents' property and revenue to the County. They draw owners, who become residents and, in turn, owners who support a rental program. From our experience, you will be pleased with a program of this nature at Port Ludlow and its successful outcome for the developer and the County. ~S.incerel '.~'..""". ~../'::Y'.'.'.'.?2.'.i,i..
