Thank: you for your recent letter regarding your concerns with the development
proposals at Port Ludlow in Jefferson County. Our Director, Linda Hoffman, asked that
I respond to you directly. I appreciate hearing your concerns and we will certainly take
your issues under consideration.
I would like to invite you to join us for a further discussion of these issues on Friday,
October 1, 2004, from 10:00 to 12:00, here at the department of Ecology. We are very
interested in hearing your insights and I hope you canjoin us.
Please feel free to contact any of our staff who has the knowledge and expertise on this
issue. J effree Stewart is the Shoreline Specialist in the Southwest Regional Office who
has been working on this issue; he can be reached at 360-407-6521. Perry Lund is the
Permitting and Technical Unit supervisor and has helped Jeffwith some of the issues
related to the Port Lagoon; he can be reached at 360-407-7260. Paula Ehlers is the
Section Manager for the Shorelands and Environmental Assistance Program at the
