Subject: PLA Resort Plan
Dear AI, I understand that the County Community Development Department is receiving comments regarding the new
plan by Port Ludlow Associates for the build out of Port Ludlow. I am very concerned about the increase in residential
density. Not only does this violate the master declaration of CC&R's for Ludlow Bay Village but will cause traffic and
parking problems, as well as changing activity levels. This, in turn, will greatly reduce the open areas and have an impact
on the quality of life in Port Ludlow as well as an impact on property values.
I am also concerned about moving the Harbormaster Restaurant to the Marina area and the establishment of Port
'Ludlow III. Another association will further divide the community where North and South Bay are even now struggling to
share facilities. PLA, and before them previous owners of the resort, have talked about a new recreation facility and
INDOOR TENNIS COURTS. Now, my understanding is that there will be no new community wide facilities included in the
Port Ludlow III proposal.
I believe most residents here could accept the density proposals of 1993 as long as building over the lagoon is not
allowed. I hope your department will consider all these concerns in preparing the staff report.
Hope all is well with you and your family. Sincerely, Shirley Porter
