Subject: PLA Proposed Development, Port Ludlow WA
Mr. Scalf: Reference Port Ludlow Associate's (PLA) most recent proposal (23Jun05) for
further development of Ludlow Bay Village, the marina areas and Admiralty III areas of
Port Ludlow, Wa.
PLA should be required to adhere to the development of the above mentioned sites as agreed
to by the developer (or the previous developer), the community of Port Ludlow and
Jefferson County in 1993 for the following reasons:
1. Most of us who purchased property and moved to Port Ludlow since 1993, made the
decision to do so, at least in part, based on. the approved plans of 1993. Any substantial
change in those plans is, at a minimum, a misrepresentation by the developer in sale of
land and/or homes to te public.
2. The significant increased residential density proposed by the developer in
Alternatives 1 and 4, will adversely impact the areas and community by (a) loss of open
space; (b) increased traffic and loss of parking; (c) increased noise and glare; (d)
decreased privacy; (e) adverse impacts on the environment and quality of life for
residents.
We urge the County to convince the Hearing Examiner to limit PLA's development, in this
case, to essentially that approved in 1993.
Sincerely, Harvey & Shirley Fleming, 112 Twinsview Court, Port Ludlow WA ;989365
