Re: Compensation for Vacated Roads
Gentlemen:
At its Regular Monthly Meeting, October 6, 1976, the Planning Commission
discussed various aspects regarding vacation of public roads.
Specifically, a motion was unanimously adopted, recommending that your
Board take steps to initiate a program for classifying roads in order to meet
all the criteria and requirements for obtaining compensation for road vacations.
It was suggested that County Engineer, Mr. Becker, is not doubt familiar with
state enabling legislation for such a classification/compensation system.
Respectfully Submitted,
Jefferson County Planning Commission

Dav~
Director of Planning
