HomeMy WebLinkAbout01 74 ORDINANCE NO. 1-74 AN ORDINANCE of Jefferson County, Washington, amending Ordinance No. C-382 adopted by the Board of County Commissioners for Jefferson County December I, 1958, entitled "An Ordinance of JeffersoQ County creating and establish- ing a plan or system with respect to vacations and sick leave of deputies and county employees employed on both a monthly and/or diem or hourly basis". THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS FOR JEFFERSON COUNTY does ordain as follows: Section 2. That portion of Section 2 of Ordinance No. C-382, entitled "An Ordinance of Jefferson County creating and establishing a plan or system with respect to vacations and sick leave of deputies and county employees employed on both a monthly and/or per diem or hourly basis" be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: Retroactive and effective as of January I, 1974, every regularly appointed deputy and each county employee employed on a monthly basis, shall be entitled to sick leave, with pay, of one day per month, provided such leave shall be entitled to accumulate, but such accumulation shall not exceed a maximum of 240 days. Accumu- lated sick leave shall be paid back at the rate of .15%, when a deputy or county employee retires or is disabled. Brown, Member L"..i~:i, ( NOTICE OF HEARING NOTICE is hereby given that on Monday, June 17 , 1974, a Hearing will be held in the Commissioners Chambers, in the Jefferson County Courthouse, for the purpose of amending Ordinance No. C-382, adopted by the Board of County Commis- sioners for Jefferson County December 1, 1958, entitled "An Ordinance of Jefferson County creating and establishing a plan or system with respect to vacations and sick leave of deputies and county employees employed on both a monthly and/or diem or hourly basis". Anyone may appear and be heard at that time with respect to the adoption or rejection of'an amendment to Section 2, Ordinance C-382, as follows: Section 2. Retroactive and effe::tive as of January 1, 1974, every regularly appointed deputy and each county employee employed on a monthly basis, shall be entitled to sick leave, with pay, of one day per montp, provided such leave shall be entitled to accumulate, but such accumulation shall not exceed a maxium of 240 days.
