RE: MLA05 - 00386, Discovery Bay Golf Club - Residential Development
I am in receipt of your June 15, 2005, Master Permit Application on the above.
mentioned project and a request for comments. I would ask.that the following items be
addressed and hopefully resolved during the environmental review process.
Item 13 (a) Public Services
Applicant Response: "Some need for increased public service will occur"
Pleasedefine more in depth the specific impact to public safety service and also identify
the manner in which fire flow will be available in accordance with the adopted
International Fire Code Tables and Appendices. In addition, the manner in which
requirements for secondary egress and emergency vehicle access will be met in
accordance with the adopted International Fire Code.
Item 13 (b) Public Services
Applicant Response: " A majority of these home will be purchased for retirement"
Please further identify how homes purchased for retirement will mitigate the need for
public safety services. Statistically retirement homes and developments, even part-time
occupied, increase the need for public services particularly in the realm of Emergency
Medical Services.
