July 20, 2006 (Corrected, please replace the letter emailed earlier today) Mr. Pat Rogers, Phil Johnson, and David Sullivan Jefferson County Commissioners 1820 Jefferson Street Port Townsend, W A 98368 Subject: Port Ludlow's Trendwest Proposal Dear Sirs; My wife and I would like to provide input to your deliberations for amending the existing Port Ludlow Development Agreement to accommodate the development of a Trendwest facility in Port Ludlow. We believe that it is in our community's best interest to have this development take place as the community grows toward its build-out potential of 2250 residential units. The Trendwest development would serve to continue the healthy growth of our village, particularly the South Bay area. Community-wide, the Trendwest addition would provide economic justification for expanding retail and professional options that would serve us locally. It would also provide a larger base for community amenities, such as trails, and provide economic support for both the golf course and marina. It is a logical addition to the original plans for the community's development. In summary, for the reasons listed above, we, favor the development of the proposed Trendwest addition. Sincerely, Bill Browne Beverly Browne 113 Outlook Lane Port Ludlow, W A 98365
