This follows up on our conversation yesterday. The Public Works Department considered the proponent's analysis of the
alternative access locations. We concur with using the existing access point. It is on a tangent segment of S. Discovery
Road and has adequate sight distance to the north and south. It would minimize the area of land disturbing activity and
new impervious surface. In the Department's judgement, extending Lawrence Road would not be an acceptable
alternative. It would require large cuts and fills and still have a very steep grade.
